The Municipal Housing Authority of the Capital of Puerto Rico will receive sealed bids for the construction of a Housing Project located on the “Puerta de Tierra Development" (Caserío Puerta de Tierra, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and constating of 192 Dwelling Units, garbage stations, and including all intirior plumbing and electrical work and also outside underground utilities, improvements, and the electrical distribution system, until 10:00 A. M., on the 23rd. day of December 1941, at their of fice in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The successful bidder wll be required to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum wage rates as set forth in the specifications must be paid on this project.
Proposed forms of contract documents, including plans and specifications, are on file at the office of the Municipal Housing Authority of the Capital of Puerto Rico.
Copies of the documents may be obtained by depositing thirty dollars ($30.00) with the Municipal Housing Authority of the Capital of Puerto Rico, for each set of documents so obtained. The amount of the deposit will be refunded to each person who returns the plans and documents in good condition within 15 days after the opening of the bids.
The Municipal Housing Authority of the Capital of Puerto Rico reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding.
A certified check or bank draft payable to the Municipal Housing Authority of the Capital of Puerto Rico, U. S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to five per cent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.
No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of Thirty C3O) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Municipal Housing Authority of the Capital of Puerto Rico.
